WATCH: Man Runs Over Himself While Fleeing Police
A police chase led to a man running himself over after forgetting to put his car in park.
On Tuesday, Fairfax County (Virginia) Police Department shared a video to their Facebook showing a Virginia man getting out of a car without putting it in park. He then runs in front of the still-moving car, which hits him.
The suspect was identified as Isaac Bonsu, 30, who was driving his car on a residential street, in the Alexandria section, a Washington suburb.
Bonsu is accused of driving while intoxicated and possessing marijuana.
After Bonsu was struck by his vehicle, he continued to run from the police but was caught. Police said Bonsu wasn't hurt.
Bonsu was originally pulled over earlier in the week for an equipment violation, police said.
He is being charged with DWI, his third offense, a felony hit-and-run and an illegal window tint.
