Secret Recipe: McDonald's Fries Could Cure Baldness
Will wonders never cease!
What if you could eat McDonald's fries and cure baldness? Talk about a Happy Meal!
Well, some Japanese scientists say they found that a chemical in the oil used to cook McDonald's fries also can be used to help grow hair, the Evening Standard reports. That chemical is dimethylpolysiloxane, which is found in silicone. The scientists say the results were so good, they think it could be used to treat hair loss, according to a study published in Biomaterials.
Other fast food chains also use the same chemical in their menus. But it's not just used in foods.
Products that use dimethylpolysiloxane include adhesives, caulk, silly putty and even contact lenses. Yum!
