Clueless Texans Attempt to Scrape Ice Off Their Cars On Twitter
Texas received snow Tuesday but posts on social media seem to indicate no one was prepared.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the Houston area on Tuesday. Because of the cold front, North Texas received some snow where the wind chill lowered temperatures into the single digits.
The NSW also issued a dry freeze warning for Wednesday night in northeast Texas. The area is to expect a hard freeze tonight with temperatures dropping below freezing accompanied by dry high pressure in the area. No precipitation is expected.
What does this mean for people who live in the state? Their cars are covered in snow and ice and there's a serious lack of ice scrapers.
Now, Texans are utilizing anything they can find to clear off their cars.

Frisbees have a lot of surface area to cover to wipe off snow, but is it great for ice scraping?
A hanger looks like it is doing the job but it might take a while ...
Every winter I have I have to clean off Caitlyn’s car because she doesn’t own an ice scraper. This year we got innovative pic.twitter.com/oVLbI4bgXl— Callan Cloonan (@Get_a_Cloo) January 14, 2018
Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt even posted about his effort to remove the snow!
Woah woah woah, my parents sent me out to scrape the windshield almost everyday when I was a kid! Anyone from WI is an old pro at this. Just never had to do it without a scraper before, so the bucee’s gift card got called into action today. Not nearly as effective FYI. https://t.co/L02vpvLq7X— JJ Watt (@JJWatt) January 16, 2018
Some Texans seem to not even know what an ice scraper is.
