On Closer Inspection: Driver Gets Creative with Vehicle's Sticker
Auburn, Massachusetts, Police found a different kind of inspection sticker Monday morning.
In a Tweet, the department attached a picture of what a driver tried to use as inspection sticker on their vehicle, according to the traffic enforcement unit.
This just in from our Traffic Enforcement Unit...this is NOT a valid inspection sticker, but we appreciate that you made it expire at the end of the year. Sorry Charlie... pic.twitter.com/KuudNCNdgg— Auburn Police (@AuburnMAPolice) April 30, 2018
The Auburn Police assured the inspection sticker was not valid but that they did appreciate the driver making it expire at the end of the year.
The picture showed what appeared to be a 12 on it.
Cheesy inspection stickers are not a new concept.
Last year, police in the town of Alexandria, New Hampshire, towed the car of a woman who tried to use a fake vehicle registration with a supermarket cheese wrapper and flyer ads.
Police remind you to stay up to date on your vehicle registration and to stop using fake stickers for your vehicle.
