Manchester police investigating crash that left 23-year-old pedestrian injured
MANCHESTER — A woman faced non-life-threatening injuries after a car allegedly hit her as she crossed the street.
Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Granite and Commercial streets involving a Chevrolet and a female pedestrian Saturday around 9:16 p.m.
Responding units located a 23-year-old woman, apparently injured, in the roadway.
A preliminary investigation showed that the pedestrian attempted to cross Granite Street as a car was traveling east on Granite Street, leading to the collision, police said.
The occupant in the car did not sustain any injuries; however, the pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Elliot Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation, police said.
