Jury selection begins for father accused in Canobie Lake Park brawl
Remember that big fight that broke out at Canobie Lake Park last summer?
Three members of a Vermont family were accused of attacking police at the park.
Monday, jury selection began in Rockingham County Superior Court, for the father, Alan Perry.
Perry and his two sons, Joshua, 23, and Brian, 18 were indicted by a grand jury back in September.
Another son who is 18 and a daughter who is 20 were also arrested that day.
Police say the six, including the mother, were carrying knives attached to their belts that day.
When security workers told them they couldn't have those knives, police said the family became "extremely belligerent."
Police said it was at that point that one officer tried to handcuff one of them, and that's when the brawl broke out.
Four of the family members jumped in. The fight included everyone, police say, except the mother.
The family, as the video shows, were punching and kicking officers, jumping on their backs, and reaching for weapons.
As the fight got even more heated, more police were called in for backup.
The family now face a slew of charges.
Two of them have pleaded not guilty and were fined.
In addition to the father, officials say, both Joshua and Brian, are both due to go on trial.
