Hudson settles lawsuit with homeless panhandler for $37,500
HUDSON - The town has reached a settlement with a homeless man over his panhandling.
On March 4, Hudson agreed to pay $37,500 to Jeff Pendleton, be subject to a permanent consent order, and conduct further police training.
The New Hampshire Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit on Pendleton's behalf, claiming police had harassed him.
Pendleton has panhandled in Hudson and Nashua since 2013.
