Fire Investigated at Merrimack County Superior Courthouse
CONCORD - A fire is being investigated at the Merrimack County Superior Courthouse in Concord.
The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal J. William Degnan and Concord Fire Chief Dan Andrus said the Concord Fire Department was called to the Courthouse Sunday at 10:13 a.m. by an automatic fire alarm activation.
The fire department arrived at 10:18 a.m. and found an activated fire sprinkler and smoke coming from the vending machine room of the building. At that time, the building closed.
The fire department said the damages to the building consisted of smoke and water which was contained in the vending machine room.
Investigators on site from The Concord Fire Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms & Explosives as well as The State Fire Marshalls office determined the cause of the fire to be accidental.
