Ex-NH State Rep. Don Leeman facing felony bribery, witness tampering charges
ROCHESTER - A former N.H. State Rep. is now facing felony bribery and witness tampering charges following his arrest Tuesday.
Don Leeman - who represented Strafford District 23 until he resigned last week - allegedly tried to induce an employee in the Rochester Housing Authority to provide a letter containing false information regarding his residency after he was accused of voter fraud during the February presidential primary.
He is also accused of offering the same employee a "substantial donation" in return for expediting his transfer to a different housing authority.
He was released on $50,000 personal recognizance and will be arraigned on June 15 in the Strafford County Superior Court.
