Don't be scared- there's still time to audition as an extra in Stephen King-inspired TV series
ORANGE, MASS.—Fans of superstar New England author Stephen King may want to carve a hole in their calendar on July 18. A casting call has been announced for anyone who wants to take a shot at being an extra in a King-inspired series planned for Hulu.
Castle Rock is the title of the 10-part series, and it takes its name from a fictional Maine town that has been featured in previous King work.
Wannabee actors are being asked to either attend the live casting call event at the Orange, Mass., Town Hall auditorium between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., or go online to fill out a submission form, according to a report at Masslive.
King is a prolific producer of horror tales, many of which have spawned popular films. King and his wife Tabitha also run the STK Foundation, a nonprofit that provides support to Maine communities looking to address social and environmental problems.
