Discovery of 4 hidden cameras in New England vacation home bathrooms results in arrest
YORK, Maine — A man is accused of hiding a camera in a bathroom to take video of friends and family members.
Police responded to 48 Nubble Road at 7 a.m. Sept. 4 after someone found a several hidden cameras in four bathrooms of the home they had been renting.
During the investigation, officers found that one of the people renting the vacation home had put the cameras in the bathrooms, police said.
Police arrested Joseph J. McGrath, 32, of 25 Tracey Lane, East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and charged him with violation of privacy, a class D crime.
Police said the alleged victims include adults and children.
The investigation is ongoing between the York Police Mobile Forensic Unit and law enforcement agencies in Massachusetts.
McGrath is scheduled to appear in York District Court on Nov. 21.
