CLAREMONT — Tips from the public helped police find a wanted man.
Johnnie "Malik" Kyles, 34, Springfield, Vermont, was located by the Claremont Police Department at the Roadway Inn in Bellows Falls, Vermont. He is being held as a fugitive from justice from the state of New Hampshire.
Kyles was scheduled to be arraigned on that charge Wednesday in Vermont. Claremont police continue to work with the State of Vermont for the return of Kyles so he can be arraigned on drug charges in New Hampshire.
Kyles has been charged with one class B felony count of conspiracy to commit drug sales.
His arrest is the result of an ongoing investigation which revolved around the alleged controlled drug sales in the Spofford Street area of Claremont, police said.
Police arrested Samantha Davis, 27, after police found 600 bags of suspected heroin, approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana, and approximately $4,450 in cash at the 12 Spofford St. residence while executing a search warrant.
Further charges are anticipated.
The Claremont Police Department thanked the public for the many calls and tips that led to Kyles' arrest.
