GOFFSTOWN - The New Hampshire Attorney General's office, state police and the Goffstown police have identified the person who was shot in Goffstown Sunday.
Officials say they responded to a parking lot at 5 Depot St. in Goffstown around 4:20 p.m. for a reported shooting. Ian Jewell, 18, of Manchester was wounded and brought to a local hospital where he later died.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Early published reports indicated that Jewell was a student at Manchester Memorial High School. Arthur Adamakos, principal at the school, said Monday morning that he was told by the attorney general's office not to say anything regarding whether a person with that name was a student there and that additional information would be coming from the AG.
There is no official word as to who shot Jewell. The attorney general's office reported the incident is still under investigation.
Some people posted their condolences to Ian on his Instagram page.
NH1 News will provide more information as the investigation continues.
