Search for a Stolen Phone Ends with a Gun Drawn, Police Say
MANCHESTER — Three Massachusetts residents crossed the border to retrieve a stolen cellphone and ended up staring down the barrel of a gun.
The Lawrence residents drove to Manchester to pick up a stolen cellphone they thought a young girl had stolen, police said.
When they accused the female, a male identified as Fabio Baez exited the Manchester apartment pointing a handgun at them, police said.
When officers arrived at 264 Bridge St. they found Baez and a Jimenez Arms .380 pistol.
After investigating the incident, police say the firearm was reported stolen out of College Park, Georgia. It was also determined that Baez is currently out on bail from the Manchester district court and so police additionally charged him with violation of bail conditions.
