Salem police looking for suspect who slashed tires of 9 vehicles
SALEM — Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect who slashed the tires of at least nine different vehicles.
Police said the vandalism occurred overnight Tuesday into Wednesday on Millville Circle. At least nine vehicles had their tires slashed, and police said no residents reported hearing or seeing anything out of the ordinary. No additional damage or thefts were reported.
Salem police released surveillance footage taken from across the street of one of the victim’s residence in the area of 106 Millville Circle. Police said the suspect appears to be a female with long hair pulled into a ponytail, wearing a dark stocking hat, a dark jacket, a white undershirt and dark pants.
The total estimated property damage is greater than $2,000 at this point, and police said there is a 10th vehicle with a flat tire, but they have not yet confirmed whether or not the tire was flat prior to the incident.
