2-Year Sentence for NH Man Who Pulled 4-Month-Old Baby's Arm so Hard He Broke a Bone
DOVER — A Rochester man was sentenced to prison after he caused a fractured collarbone of an almost 5-month-old baby girl.
Ryan Hughes, 24, was found guilty of first-degree assault from a crime that took place in July 2016.
Court documents say that Hughes caused serious bodily injury to a baby girl who was just a week shy of 5 months old at the time.
Hughes pulled the infant's arm and caused a fracture of her right clavicle.
Hughes was sentenced to two to five years in the New Hampshire State Prison. In addition to prison time, Hughes will undergo mandatory domestic violence counseling and drug and alcohol treatment counseling.
