Police: 3 Men Pistol-Whipped Woman, Stole Items from Manchester Motel Room
MANCHESTER — Three men busted into a motel room Saturday, pistol-whipped a woman inside and stole and iPhone and two backpacks, police said.
Police responded to an armed robbery at the Comfort Inn, 298 Queen City Ave., at 9:50 p.m.
After breaking into the room, the men attacked the 34-year-old man renting the room and struck his female guest in the face with a pistol before taking the items.
The 27-year-old female had a cut on her lip but refused medical treatment.
Detectives working on the case gathered enough probable cause to arrest Raheem Tyler, 19, of Manchester, in connection with the robbery and took him into custody Sunday.
Detectives are still trying to identify the other two men.
The first suspect is described as a light-skinned male, possibly Hispanic, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with light colored jeans and black sneakers. He was armed with a handgun at the time of the incident.
The second suspect is described as a large, possibly black male who was last seen wearing a royal blue and black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Anyone with information about the men or robbery is asked to call Manchester Police Department at 668-8711 or the Manchester Police Crimeline at 624-4040, reference Case No. 17-19293. Tyler was scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Court-North on Monday.
