Police: 2 Arrested For Selling Heroin Near Young Child in Latest Drug Sweep
NASHUA — More people were arrested as part of Operation Granite Shield, according to Nashua police.
On Thursday, members of the Nashua police narcotics division arrested three people on drug-related charges.
Brittney Bellino, 25, of Milton, and Zachary Madison, 26, were arrested at the same time. They are each facing felony charges for selling heroin. During the investigation, officials discovered the heroin was being sold in close proximity to a very young child, so Bellino and Madison are also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
The are both being held on $30,000 bail and were scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
The third arrest was Jennifer Dion, 35, of Nashua. She is facing a felony charge for crack-cocaine possession as well as another felony charge for falsifying physical evidence. She was released on $10,000 cash bail.
Bellino had been arrested before. In the summer of 2016, Bellino was arrested for abusing the 3-year-old daughter of her then boyfriend. According to a police affidavit, Bellino bent back the girls legs so that her heels touched her buttocks while the child was having a tantrum on her belly. She then rubbed the young girl's face in the cement and struck her face on the floor.
The Nashua police department is urging residents to be vigilant and report drug crimes to the narcotics hotline at 594-3597.
