Naked and Afraid: Baby Left Behind By Parents Found Alone in Woods
For most parents, a missing child is their worst nightmare, but police said one father chose to abandon his child alone in the woods.
25-year-old Brandon Blouin is accused of leaving his child, 1-year-old Bradley Thomas, alone in the woods in Oregon.
According to Deschutes Sherriff’s Department, Blouin, an 18-year-old female and Bradley had been staying in a vehicle by a forest along China Hat Road. Police say the female got out and left Bradley in Blouin’s care.
After some time had passed, police say Blouin decided to take Bradley to look for the female.
Police said during Blouin’s search, he set Bradley down and left him. The release states Blouin is believed to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
The Sherriff’s Department said the 1-year-old was then reported missing and later found unclothed and unharmed in a pile of dirt.
Officials said it took six hours to find the toddler.

Blouin was arrested and is facing multiple charges: Criminal Mistreatment I, Child Neglect II, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and Assault III.
“The assault charge stems from an injury that we believe Bradley suffered while in Bouin’s care,” the release reads.
The investigation is ongoing.
