Court Documents: Man Indicted for Offering $200 to Mom for Sex with 12-Year-Old Daughter
BRENTWOOD — A Vermont man has been indicted for allegedly trying to give a mother $200 for sex with her 12-year-old daughter in Portsmouth.
On top of the prostitution indictment 51-year-old Joseph Norko, of Saint Johnsbury Center, faces one count of attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault, three counts of indecent exposure and lewdness and six counts of certain uses of computer services prohibited.
The indictments, handed down by a Rockingham County Grand jury in December, state that Norko had been using a computer between July 13 and Aug. 20 to speak with a woman who he believed to be the mother of the girl. During that time, through email, he told a police officer posing as the mother that he wanted to have oral sex and sexual intercourse with the girl as well as kiss and slap her butt, touch her breasts and ejaculate on her, according to the indictments.
Norko also is accused of sending naked photos of himself to the person he believed to be the mother and asking her to show them to the girl.
The aggravated felonious sexual assault charge carries a sentence of 10- 20 years in prison exclusive of fines. The other charges all carry a sentence of 3½-seven years in prison.
He is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County Superior Court for an arraignment Jan. 5.
In September, Norko faced similar charges in Grafton County where he is accused of trying to meet up with a person posing as a 15-year-old girl for a sexual encounter.
