2 For One in Manchester- Stabbing Call Leads to Arrest of Felon, Discovery of Man Wanted on Warrants
Isaac Cora and Jay Bingel
MANCHESTER- Two people, including the victim, were taken into custody after police were called to a reported stabbing in a Manchester apartment Tuesday evening.
One of the people, a convicted felon armed with a knife, was arrested after stabbing the property manager at the apartment building. The victim, who was wanted on several outstanding warrants, was also placed into custody, according to Queen City police.
Police were called to a reported stabbing at 452 Pine Street approximately 5:00 p.m. It was there they found Jay Bingel, 38, of Manchester with a 1 ½ inch knife wound he said was caused by Isaac Cora, 43, of Manchester. Police say the two had been arguing in a hallway at the apartment when the assault occurred.
Police arrested Cora after finding him in his apartment, and a fixed-blade knife outside near his apartment window. Cora was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, falsifying physical evidence and convicted felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
Bingel was treated for his non-life threatening injury at an area hospital and later released. Bingel was wanted on several outstanding warrants, so he was placed into custody and transported to police headquarters.
Cora was scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on Wednesday.
Bingel was also scheduled to appear Manchester District Court Wednesday for the domestic violence-related warrants.
