Adam Anderson has been charged with manslaughter for recklessly causing the death of another, police said.
1 Roommate Is Dead, the Other Behind Bars After Shooting
KEENE – A New Hampshire man is behind bars after shooting and killing his roommate.
According to Keene Police, just before 1 p.m. Sunday, 22-year-old Holden Guyette was shot by 25-year-old Adam Anderson. Police said the men lived together.
Police said the call came in as an accidental discharge of the firearm.
Anderson said he had been demonstrating a safer way to carry a pistol when she shot Guyette in the chest. He didn't know he shot Guyette when the gun went off but called 911 when he saw blood, according to the police affidavit.
Tia Guyette, Anderson's girlfriend and Guyette's sister, witnessed the shooting.
Guyette was taken to Cheshire Hospital and then by DHART to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he died, police said.
Anderson has been charged with manslaughter for recklessly causing the death of another, police said. He is being held in lieu of bail at Cheshire County Jail and was scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
Police are still investigating.
