Concord high student gets unusual wake-up call from 98.3 WLNH's Nazzy and Tara
CONCORD — After spending the whole summer sleeping in, waking up for the first day of school can prove to be a challenge. Thanks to 98.3 LNH's Nazzy and Tara, one Concord High School student did not have to worry about sleeping past the morning bell.
Christian Waldron, who started his first day of sophomore year Thursday, normally wakes up around 6:30 a.m. to prepare for the school day. However, he did not need to wait for his alarm clock to go off for his first day.
Nazzy and Tara joined Christian's parents — Brian and Sheri — along with Brian's bandmate Roscoe to give Christian quite the wake-up call. They entered his bedroom equipped with an accordion, guitar, tambourine and symbols, singing loudly around his bed.
"Time to wake up with Nazzy and Tara," they both yelled.
Christian immediately ducked under his sheets while they continued to play a song. Once they finished their encore, Christian peaked his head out of the covers and groggily said, "that was so uncalled for."
Nazzy attempted to interview Christian as he laid in bed with his eyes half open.
"Why wouldn't you let me sleep?" he asked his dad, who is a local musician and owner of Christian Michael Hair Studio in Concord.
According to Nazzy, Christian is a prankster in the family, so this was a way for his dad to pay him back.
Christian decided not to give a shout out to his dad on the radio, as this segment aired live on LNH, but instead covered his ears as they continued to play music out of his bedroom.
"Get up. Go to school. Learn something," Nazzy shouted.
