Billy Flynn parole ruling latest twist in Pamela Smart case
It was a small town murder that became one of the highest profile cases in New England. The Pamela Smart murder trial. The case got a lot of media attention.
Smart was convicted of conspiring with her 16-year-old lover William "Billy" Flynn and his three friends to kill her husband Gregory Smart in May 1990.
The gunman in the case - Flynn - shot Gregg as one of his friends held Gregg down.
In 1992, Flynn was sentenced to life in prison for second degree murder, eligible for parole in 40 years with 12 years suspended for good behavior.
