Dog Found in Merrimack In Good Spirits Despite 'Ruff' Patch
An injured dog found by a hiker last week in Merrimack is slowly recovering.
The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire posted Saturday on Facebook that the German shepherd they have named George remains in good spirits. He had multiple surgical procedures performed by the Ponemah Veterinary Hospital and is currently battling a strong infection.
All four of George's feet are bandaged and he has to remain in the cone. His wounds have begun to heal, ARL said.
George is spending his time sleeping and getting stronger and has been playing with toys. The ARL said he is a tennis fan.
The shelter still has not found George's owner.
Anyone who wishes to help with the expenses to take care of George can do so here.
