Warmer 70's Thursday...Looking At A Wet Weekend.
A front remains stalled south of New England today. Showers are sre tracking into Southern New England and will remain south of New Hampshire. Clouds are spreading northward into New Hampshire. Enough dry air will remain in place for clouds and partial sunshine today. Skies should become a bit brighter during the afternoon. Temperatures will be warmer this afternoon with highs climbing into the 70's and Lwr 80's. High pressure in Canada will continue to nudge farther south and wrap in a cooler onshore winds on Friday with cooler temperatures with highs only in the 60's and 50's at the coast. Again, clouds will try to stream into NH, but the dry air will hold for partly sunny skies. Clouds will thicken Friday night as a low tracks along this stalled front and up towards New England Saturday. Rain showers will be developing during the midday Saturday and become a cool steady rain during the afternoon. Temperatures will be much cooler ranging in the Lwr-mid 50's. The showers will last into Saturday night and begin to taper off. A cold front will push through Sunday with more clouds and few more scattered showers. I expect milder temperatures to return for the second half of the weekend and for the start of next week with temps climbing back into the 70's.
