Pre-season begins for the Patriots tonight and “Patriots Nation” is counting on another Super Bowl appearance Feb. 3 in Atlanta.
Most of that confidence is based on the remarkable consistency of Tom Brady. TB12 turned 41 last week and already only Warren Moon and Brett Favre have thrown more touchdown passes than Brady in their 40s. He should sail by them early in the 2018 season.
With the exception of missing most of the 2008 campaign, Brady’s durability has been second to none. Consider this: Joe Namath retired at 34, Bob Griese and Terry Bradshaw at 35, Bart Starr and Jim Kelly at 36.
While Brady’s personal trainer, Alex Guerrero, isn’t a favorite of Bill Belichick’s, his work with Brady can hardly be questioned. Keep that avocado ice cream coming!
How will it all pan out? I'm predicting a 13-3 regular season — and another trip to the big game.
