Puppy Predicts Pats Will Win, And You Can Win Too, If You Adopt Her

All over the internet, animals are trying to predict the Super Bowl winner.

April the Giraffe preferred her Patriots lettuce. On late night TV, Jimmy Fallon had a bunch of puppies make their predictions. (Once again, it went to New England).

On Friday "The Morning Wakeup" on 98.3 LNH held its own “puppy pick” with the help of Hanna, a 7-year-old lab/pitbull mix up for adoption at the Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord-Merrimack County. She picked Tom Brady and the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl (If you believe in that sort of thing). You can watch her make her pick in the video at the top of this article and learn more about her here.

However, the real winner will be you when you adopt a pet from your local shelter.

According to the Humane Society of the United States, each year 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the U.S. simply because too many enter into shelters and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet. The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them. Plus, a shelter pet is 57 percent better to watch your favorite sporting event with! OK, that last statistic might not be factual, but shelter pets make great companions! Adopt a shelter pet today and go Pats!

"The Morning Wakeup" with Nazzy and Tara airs 6-10 a.m. Monday-Friday on 98.3 LNH.
