What You Need to Know About the Rise of Gas Prices This Summer

Gas prices in New England continue to be more expensive than a year ago.

With the unofficial kick-off to summer just days away, prices are expected to continue to increase.

At $2.86 per gallon, the national gas price average is 50 cents more expensive than a year ago. According to AAA Northern New England spokesperson Dan Goodwin, "rising crude prices combined with the Iran sanctions reinstated, concerns about the supply of oil and energy products are putting upward pressure on the market.

WTSN's Mike Pomp had a chance to speak with Dan about the upcoming summer driving season and motorists concerns about the price of fuel.
