Two popular movie franchises may be coming back to the theatres sometime soon.
27 years after starring as two time-traveling teenagers, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are reprising their rolls as Bill and Ted. The two teamed up for 1989's "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and 1991's "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey."
In a joint statement, Reeves and Winters said, "we couldn't be more excited to get the whole band back together again."MGM, which owns the rights to the movies, said the third installment will be titled "Bill & Ted Face the Music." The movie is currently in pre-production and no release date has been given.
After Mike Myers revived his role as Dr. Evil on "The Tonight Show" last month, fans of the British, sex- addicted spy thought it may have been a stunt to promote a fourth movie starring Myers.
"Well, I can't really, I can't say, but it's, you know, maybe," he told E! at the premiere of his new movie, Terminal.
"It's a very strong maybe. We'll see."
Myers also played Dr. Evil in all three movies and would consider making the next installment all about the bald villain.
"I would love to do a movie from Dr. Evil's perspective. So it would be Dr. Evil 1, Austin Powers 4, is how I would roll... Start the campaign, please. Thank you."
