Scientists Are Listening for Mysterious Signals from Outer Space

Mysterious signals from outer space?

They are called FRB's (Fast Radio Bursts) and scientists at The Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment or CHIME, are looking for them.

So far they've had good luck as they've found a "handful of events."

The FRB's only last a few milliseconds and are so mysterious that researchers can't explain exactly what they are or where they are coming from, according to the Global News. They say the signals could be "something like a supernova or a gamma-ray burst, or even something falling into a black hole."

Others speculated they might even be "alien in origin," but they say there is no evidence that they are alien, yet. Stay tuned, folks; stay tuned.
